The new stamps comes with matching white/greyboard shapes. Here I have used the stamps

to stamp into soft texture paste on the shapes, and then stamp again when dry to get the details.

Here´s what I did:

I´m working on a A5 size watercolour paper, that later on will go into one of my art journals.

I´m starting by applying white gesso through a stencil from That´s Crafty. Obviously it does not show very well on this photo, but I want it to act as a resist to the Brusho´s later on and hopfully will give a little interest to the background.

I´m going for a nature scene, and use Ultramarine, Purple and Turquoise Brushos.

I stamp all the trees from Rubber Dance Four Seasons stamp set, once facing up and once facing down as reflections in the water.

Now you get my idea :)

On a separate piece of watercolour paper I mix the Leaf green, Emerald green, Yellow and Lemon Brushos and stamp the four trees again. I use clear embossing powder and heat emboss the trees.

I fussy cut the trees and add Dark brown Brusho to the tree trunks. 

I use Rubber Dance Old Book Page stamp for some background stamping using 

Distress Oxide Wilted Violet.

I dilute some Aztec Metallics Light gold with water and make some splashes in the sky of my page.

I glue down the trees and draw a ground for the trees to stand on.

I stamp my quote from Rubber Dance Affirmations stamp set and also do a little journaling hardly visible in the grass.

Finally I add a touch of Dark brown and Leaf green Brusho on the reflections of the 

trees in the water and draw a black line to frame the page.

Done!

Mixed media cards - Craft Stamper "Take it, Make it" February Challenge

Hi!

I have two mixed media cards to share with you today. 

They are made as inspiration for the new challenge at the Craft Stamper blog, and I have a step-by-step tutorial for you.

I started to play with the ColourCraft Brusho´s and Aztec´s on a piece of watercolour paper.

I used That´s Crafty stencils.

I cut my background down to card panels, and continued to work on two of them.

I went in with some white gesso and added some more blue Brusho.

I stamped Rubber Dance stamp Vintage script and white embossed it.

I added some more white gesso with my finger and also made some marks.

I stamped some flowers from Rubber Dance stamp set Crazy Flowers #1 and 

embossed with clear embossing powder on the black ink. I blended Brusho with water on my craft sheet and used as watercolours to colour my flowers.

I used Yellow, Orange, Scarlet and also Purple.

Once the flowers was dry i cut them out. I also stamped the leaves from 

Rubber Dance Crazy Flowers #2 on the card panels. I added the flowers to the panels and drew the stems using a white Posca pen and a black fineliner pen.

I diecut the words hello and congratulations and embossed them with clear embossing powder 

to go with my flowers. I backed my panels with black cardstock and glued down onto card bases.
