Golden mandalas, ATCoin hanger for That´s Crafty!

Hello!

I know you have seen some of my ATCoin hangers by now,
but this is the first ATCoin hanger I made.
I used the That´s Crafty ATCoin stamp set 2, and made this for a
Hochanda show a while back.

Here´s what I did:

I used a gelli printed paper with an ombre effect. I glued the paper to the coins,
going from the lightest to the darkest.

I stamp five of the designs from the stamp set onto the coins,
and heat emboss with gold powder.

I take a long, thin piece of burlap and grunge it up a bit
using Distress ink Walnut stain and Rusty hinge.
At the top I glue down a stick and a rusty nail.

I glue down my coins to the burlap. In the gaps I glue down rusty nails and other sticks.
When the glue is dry, I sew them in place as well for extra interest.
Here´s my finished hanger.

Hope you enjoyed, and thank you so much for stopping by!

That´s Crafty ATC chunkie with Scribbled Shrooms - Step-by-Step tutorial

Hello lovely peeps!

Today I have been playing with a That´s Crafty! ATC sized Chunkie

Here´s what I did:

I put the Chunkie together and paint it with That´s Crafty! Lime Multi Surface Paint.
You can watch how easy it is to put a Chunkie together in this video HERE.
I stamp the images from the Scribbled Shrooms stamp set onto gelli printed and
"brayer off" papers.

I cut the images out and apart to be able to use different parts of the same images
but in different colours.
I use That´s Crafty gesso, light blue paint and Dinky stencil tc044 to create some
texture on the Chunkie.

I create my little scene all around the Chunkie by adhering my images
with gel medium. I also add details and more colours in some places using
Distress Markers and Posca pens.

I add some shading using a black Distress Marker and a water brush.

I go around all the images with a really fine black finelinder pen.

Finally I add some more stamping using the background stamp from the same set,
and also use some Tim Holtz Clipping Stickers.
Here are the Chunkie from all four sides!

ATCoin Christmas ornaments / gift labels for Rubber Dance Simplicity Sunday

Hello!
Today I´m sharing a little idea on how to use all those coins
you are creating. I know, they are addictive, aren´t they!?

Christmas is getting closer, and I had this idea to use coins as
Christmas tree ornaments or gift labels.

For these coins I used the Rubber Dance Whimsical Winter stamp set.
The coins are greyboard coins from That´s Crafty!

Welcome over HERE for the full blog post!

Thank you so much for stopping by today, and hope you liked my idea
on how to use coins as labels or ornaments :)

Mixed media tag using That´s Crafty Scribbled Shrooms - step by step

Hello crafty friends!

Today I share a tag where I have used a stamp set I have
designed for That´s Crafty, called Scribbled Shrooms.
I have a step by step photo tutorial for you.

I´m working on a 8x16 cm white/greyboard tag, and start to play
with the large background stamp.

I also stamp it on a background I made a while ago where I used
That´s Crafty Lustre sprays. If you like to take a closer look at these
awesome sprays, you´ll find my video HERE.
I tear this piece of paper to fit on the tag.

I make some splashes with Lime and Red Lustre sprays.

I adhere the paper to the tag using a distance
for some dimension. I also tuck in some cheesecloth in a few places
between them. Splashes with diluted white gesso.

I stamp the two mushrooms from the stamp set and cut them out.
I add some Lilac Lustre spray to them and adhere them to the tag with small pieces
of cheesecloth underneith them.
I use one layer 3D foam pad for the big one, and 2 layers behind the small.

I continue to colour the shrooms, now using Lime Lustre spray and some
blue Distress Marker for the windows (and some other tiny details on the
background to bring it all together). I use the Walnut Ink crystals
for shading on the shrooms and also use it here and there on the tag.
I stamp the sentiment from The House Collection stamp set.

Finishing touches - I stamp, cut out and add the star from the stamp set and tie
a piece of twine to the tag.

I try to catch the awesome shine from the sprays, but the photo don´t
make them justice!
